These courses are designed for practising and improving your spoken English. We will focus on a wide range of interesting topics and activities to make you feel more confident with spontaneous conversations and your listening comprehension, while also helping to increase your vocabulary and accuracy in pronunciation.

Practise and improve your spoken English by talking about everyday topics such as free time, news items, travel, experiences and plans. With real-world language, for example from videos and short texts, you will engage in lively activities and spontaneous conversations. In addition you will improve your listening skills and understanding, and expand your vocabulary. A strong focus is placed on communication and interaction with the other participants and the teacher, making learning both social and enjoyable.

On the way to level B1, over the course of three semesters, you'll learn to communicate in a simple, connected way in everyday situations, while travelling, and when talking about topics of personal interest. You'll be able to describe experiences, hopes and ambitions, and give reasons for your opinions. By the end, you'll have a solid grasp of the most important grammatical structures. Units 1–4: Topics: people, travel, work, childhood; Grammar: present simple and continuous, used to, modals (can, have to, must), verb–noun collocations (e.g. book a holiday, fall in love) Units 5–8: Topics: health, city life, relationships, stories (famous writers); Grammar: future forms for making predictions, comparatives and superlatives (hot – hotter – hottest), irregular adjectives, present perfect (for, since), past perfect Units 9–12: Topics: happiness and luck, the environment, life choices, technology; Grammar: infinitive with to, modals of advice (will, may, might), first and second conditionals (if-clauses), passive forms

In a relaxed atmosphere we will talk about a variety of interesting topics and review B1 grammar. Our goal is to improve fluency and vocabulary by using communication games, short texts or videos. Don't worry about mistakes, let's enjoy speaking!
